The e-Visa service has simplified the arrival of foreign delegates in Turkmenistan for OGT 2026

The e-Visa service has made it easier for organizers to attract international delegates to the "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2026" International Exhibition and Conference. This was stated to journalists by Nazar Atajanov, Director of the Turkmen Energy Forum (TEF), during a press conference held following the forum.

According to him, the service has significantly simplified the process. He noted that the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan informs applicants directly about any changes regarding their applications, so they do not need to worry about their status, and they can make payments on their own.

He added that upon arrival, foreign delegates were provided by the organizers with SIM cards offering unlimited internet access, ensuring they could stay in touch with their families throughout the forum.

It was previously reported that an electronic visa (e-Visa) system is set to be introduced in Turkmenistan starting October 1, 2026. The State Migration Service noted that the system will help save time for arriving foreign nationals, facilitate electronic document management, and allow for procedures to be completed quickly and through a simplified process.

The "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2026" international conference and exhibition took place in Ashgabat from October 21 to 23. It brought together approximately 1,7 thousand delegates from 75 countries, representing more than 450 companies and international organizations. The forum was organized by the state concerns "Turkmengaz" and "Turkmennebit," the State Corporation "Turkmengeologiya," and the company Turkmen Energy Forum (TEF).
