A delegation from the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan participated in the 33rd meeting of the Public Key Directory (PKD) Board, as well as a specialized workshop, held from October 20 to 22 in Victoria, the capital of the Republic of Seychelles.

As reported on the website of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan, the initiatives placed particular emphasis on modernizing the technical infrastructure of border control authorities and implementing advanced digital solutions.

Participants discussed practical steps for using master lists to authenticate travel documents, as well as the implementation of new digital formats, including electronic pilot licenses and digital travel credentials.

Separate sessions were devoted to developing regional capacity and launching a pilot project for engagement with the private sector.

Following several days of work, an updated strategic plan was approved, aimed at deepening multilateral cooperation among the states.

The Public Key Directory (PKD) Board is a governing body responsible for the operation of the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) global public key infrastructure for security.
