Pringles is raffling off a 200-year supply of chips to those who agree to have their ashes interred in a can-shaped urn

Pringles has offered fans the chance to win a "lifetime" supply of chips—enough to last approximately 200 years. To participate, entrants must sign a will agreeing to be buried in a special metal urn shaped like a Pringles can, reports People.

According to brand representatives, the urn is made of precious metal and features a removable lid. It can be personalized with an engraving.

The unusual campaign references the story of Fred Baur, who in 1966 developed the signature molded Pringles packaging designed to keep the chips intact and prevent them from sticking together. The company still uses this format today. Bohr was so proud of his invention that he requested his ashes be buried in such a can. His family honored his wish: on the way to the funeral home, they bought a can of chips, and a portion of Bohr's ashes was buried in it alongside the standard urn containing the rest.

The "Once You Drop" campaign coincides with Halloween and runs from October 13 to 22. Anyone interested can sign a "will and directive" agreeing to have their ashes interred in an urn designed to look like the packaging of popular potato chips. The company has released a humorous, minute-and-a-half-long video on its YouTube channel featuring the actual director of the funeral home, who explains the step-by-step process for those wishing to obtain such an urn and become part of the brand's history. In one shot, a bag of chips lies in the coffin instead of the deceased.

The organizers promise to announce the name of the person who will receive the prize on October 31.
