The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) in Goa held a webinar for students of the Myrat Garryev Turkmen State Medical University. This was reported by the Embassy of India in Turkmenistan.
The topic of the online session was "Pathogenesis of Diseases in Ayurveda: The Tridosha Theory." It was conducted by Dr. Mohan R. Joshi, Deputy Dean of the Institute. The webinar was attended by the dean and students of the Faculty of Sports and Health Rehabilitation.
As noted in the press release, the lecturer provided a detailed explanation of the “tridosha” concept—the three primary imbalances: “Vata” (air and space), “Pitta” (fire and water), and “Kapha” (earth and water). He explained how an imbalance among these three “doshas” is linked to the onset and progression of diseases. The presentation was followed by a Q&A session which, according to the embassy, helped students gain a deeper understanding of Ayurveda and “tridosha” theory.

The diplomatic mission recalled that a Center for Yoga and Traditional Medicine was opened in Ashgabat in 2015 during the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In January 2026, an Ayurveda unit was established at the Myrat Garryev Medical University.
As the embassy emphasized, under its "Extended Neighborhood" policy, India will continue to share its development experience with Turkmenistan, including in the fields of healthcare, pharmaceuticals, Ayurveda, and traditional medicine.
