At the Paris Motor Show, Citroën unveiled a concept for a modernized 2CV compact car featuring an electric powertrain. Mass production is scheduled to launch in 2028, with a starting price of €15 thousand.
The Citroën 2CV was produced from 1948 to 1990. The model earned the status of a "people's car" thanks to its low price, compact size, and distinctive design. Total sales exceeded 5 million units, reports Electrek.
The updated version will retain the original's silhouette, compact dimensions, and openable roof. The manufacturer has not yet disclosed exact specifications. According to Electrek, the electric 2CV could have a range of up to 250 km.
