Seyran Atanyazov, a student at the Maya Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory, won a silver medal at the XX anniversary CIS Youth Delphic Games held in the capital of Tajikistan.
Seyran represented the Turkmen violin school with distinction, performing with a light, virtuosic touch. However, the Russian violinist proved to be just a fraction better, reports “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
This marks the second silver medal for the Turkmen student at the Delphic Games; he also won a silver medal in 2023.
Two students from the Turkmen Conservatory also participated in the Games representing Turkmenistan: Asel Ruslanova (Classical Singing category) and Anna Veliahmedova (Pop Vocals category).
Coloratura soprano Asel Ruslanova gave a highly impressive performance; securing fourth place in a competition against acclaimed vocalists from Kazakhstan is a significant achievement in itself.
Anna Veliahmedova performed a Turkmen folk song as well as popular songs by foreign composers. She was awarded an honorary diploma for her performance.
