A unified electronic system for processing and issuing visas—e-Visa—has been launched in Turkmenistan. Starting October 1, 2026, all activities related to the issuance of electronic visas will be conducted exclusively through this system via a dedicated website. The country's State Migration Service announced this development.

The system was implemented in accordance with the Law of Turkmenistan "On Migration." The electronic visa grants foreign citizens and stateless persons the right to enter the country, stay within its territory, depart, and transit through it.

The migration service emphasized that the new digital service will allow foreign nationals to save time, shift document processing to an electronic format, and complete all procedures quickly and through a simplified process. They also noted that the system will enhance the agency's operational efficiency and align its organizational practices with modern standards.

As the service notes, the country is consistently working to expand international cooperation, improve the quality of migration services, and implement digital technologies and best practices.
