The Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan ranked 273rd in the UI GreenMetric 2026 global university ranking, reaffirming its status as one of the world's environmentally sustainable universities. This was reported by "Turkmenistan: Golden Age."

In the new 17th edition of GreenMetric (2026), the Turkmen university achieved strong results across all key assessment categories, securing a total score of 7875 out of a possible 10 000 points. This achievement earned the university a place among the top 300 universities and entry into the prestigious "Gold Category" of the global sustainability ranking.

This standing has once again cemented the Turkmen university's status as a leader, securing the number one spot among the national universities included in the ranking. This year, Turkmenistan was represented by 12 universities:

• Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan (273rd place),

• S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University (628th place),

• Y. Kakayev International Oil and Gas University (758th place),

• Turkmen Agricultural Institute (858th place),

• International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (1026th place),

• Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan (1198th place),

• Institute of Engineering, Technical and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan (1202nd place),

• Aba Annaev International Academy of Horse Breeding (1215th place),

• Turkmen State Institute of Finance (1359th place),

• State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan (1378th place),

• Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction (1458th place),

• S. Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute (1735th place).
