The Ahal-Teke horse complex of the President of Turkmenistan, featuring a capacity of 1,200, will be ceremoniously opened in just a few days during the celebrations marking the country's 35th anniversary of independence. This was announced by the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, during his address at a regular session of the Halk Maslahaty, TDH reports.

According to the National Leader, the Ahal-Teke horse—recognized as the epitome of beauty and perfection—has become the primary symbol of the country’s rapid development during the Era of Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the country is implementing programmatic activities to further enhance the glory of Ahal-Teke horses, known worldwide as "paradise," "heavenly," "Nisei," and "winged" racehorses.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty announced the development of a program of horse-breeding and equestrian sports events for 2026, a year designated in Turkmenistan as "Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Spirited Winged Horses." An organizing committee has been established to ensure these events are conducted at a high level.

Among the significant events of the outgoing year, the Head of the Halk Maslahaty highlighted the presentation of international certificates to the Galkynyş National Equestrian Games Group at the International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo, as well as the participation of Turkmen youth in international conferences, championships, and beauty contests dedicated to racehorses and the art of horse breeding. The National Leader made special mention of the World Equestrian Games and the Ahal-Teke horse beauty contest held in the Netherlands.
