Egypt will once again raise the cost of entry visas for foreign tourists: starting January 1, 2027, the fee will increase from 30 to 33 USD. This was reported by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), citing a circular from the Egyptian Chamber of Tourism Companies and Travel Agencies.

This marks the second visa price hike in a year: the cost had already increased from 25 to 30 USD on March 1, 2026.

According to the document, a 6 USD fee for processing, administration, and bank charges will be added to the 33 USD visa cost. However, it is not specified whether this additional charge applies to all visa application methods or only to the electronic visa, which can currently be obtained only at Cairo Airport.

According to the Ahraminfo portal, cited by ATOR, the cost of a standard visa will rise to 33 USD, while a digital visa processed in Cairo will increase to 39 USD.
