Relations between Turkmenistan and Armenia have reached a qualitatively new level in recent years, as evidenced by ongoing mutual visits, meetings, and consultations on various aspects of bilateral cooperation. This was stated by Guvanch Agajanov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

"The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov attach great importance to strengthening and further developing the long-standing cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Armenia," the Deputy Prime Minister said at a reception marking the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia.

According to him, relations between the peoples of the two countries, based on the principles of friendship, mutual understanding, and goodwill, are steadily strengthening, while cultural and humanitarian ties are becoming increasingly broad and substantive.

Agajanov noted that the steady development of bilateral cooperation, as well as mutual support for initiatives within international organizations such as the UN, make a significant contribution to strengthening and expanding interaction between the countries.

"Currently, trade and economic cooperation is an important area of interstate dialogue between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Armenia," he emphasized.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the governments of the two countries attach particular importance to expanding mutual trade and the range of export-import goods, as well as to developing new areas of cooperation. The positive trend in trade turnover indicates significant potential for further cooperation, particularly in the trade and economic, transport, industrial, agricultural, and humanitarian spheres, including healthcare, science, sports, and tourism.
