With its characteristic grandeur and traditional hospitality, Ashgabat welcomes the delegates to the latest session of the country’s supreme representative body, the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council).

The delegations from all regions of Turkmenistan included venerable elders, leaders in production, deputies of the Mejlis and local people's councils, heads of departments and public organizations, as well as students.

Ashgabat’s international airport and railway station served as the initial arrival points for delegates from the Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap, and Mary velayats. This was reported in the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper.

In keeping with age-old traditions of national hospitality, guests were welcomed with bread and salt, while vibrant musical performances added to the festive atmosphere of their arrival.

Forum participants were transported to hotels in the capital in specially equipped, comfortable buses for their accommodation. An extensive cultural and educational program has been organized for the distinguished delegates during their stay in the capital.
