During high-level talks between Presidents Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Lee Jae-myung, the head of the Turkmen state shared his views on the further development of fruitful cooperation between the two friendly nations.

In particular, the President of Turkmenistan noted the special importance attached to cooperation in the trade and economic sphere. Turkmenistan highly values the activities of Korean companies in the Turkmen market; a number of strategically important projects have been implemented with their participation, and work in this area is ongoing.

Korean-made buses and passenger cars make up a significant portion of public transport in Turkmenistan. At the same time, cooperation with Korean companies in the shipbuilding sector has been established. Furthermore, representatives of the business community from this friendly nation are participating in the implementation of the project to create a medical cluster in the city of Arkadag, said President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, reaffirming the country's interest in developing partnerships in areas such as investment, trade, energy, industry, the chemical sector, rail transport, artificial intelligence, science and technology, water resource management, and ecology.

Speaking about the significance of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Korean Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technological Cooperation in boosting trade and economic ties, the head of Turkmenistan noted that great opportunities are opening up for joint work in the transport sector.

As emphasized, Turkmenistan views the Republic of Korea as a key partner in the Asia-Pacific region. Currently, Turkmenistan is working with partners to develop an extensive network of transport, transit, and logistics infrastructure along East–West and North–South corridors. In this regard, the Head of State noted that the country supports the participation of Korean companies in these projects.

Turkmenistan also attaches special importance to the development of bilateral relations in the humanitarian sphere. Both countries have accumulated extensive experience in holding cultural events featuring accomplished artists, and "cross-cultural days" are successfully organized. Noting that the opening ceremony of the upcoming Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Korea is scheduled for September 16, the Head of State emphasized the country's commitment to developing large-scale cooperation in this sphere.

The scientific and educational sphere was identified as a key area of cooperation. In this regard, emphasis was placed on the significant opportunities for expanding partnerships in areas such as scientific research, healthcare, sports, and tourism.
