A delegation from the Republic of Moldova, led by the Chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Group, Petru Burduja, is in Turkmenistan on a working visit.

According to TDH, bilateral meetings were held on September 14 at several ministries—including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs—as well as at the Mejlis, where a meeting took place with the Chair of the national parliament, D. Gulmanova, alongside a session of the Turkmenistan-Moldova parliamentary friendship group.

Members of the Moldovan delegation expressed the country's keen interest in expanding cooperation with modern, dynamically developing Turkmenistan, which possesses substantial economic and resource potential.

The parties discussed current issues and prospects for the development of relations, noting the need to step up inter-parliamentary dialogue. In this context, the importance of the work of the Parliamentary Friendship Group was emphasized.

An engaged exchange of views also took place regarding trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.

Reaffirming their mutual commitment to the practical implementation of previously reached agreements, the parties expressed confidence that Turkmen-Moldovan relations would continue to develop successfully, gaining new, concrete substance.

Meetings at several ministries and a sightseeing tour of the landmarks of the white-marble Turkmen capital are also scheduled as part of the ongoing visit, the source notes.
