Apple has announced three new smartphone models: the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the foldable iPhone Duo. All the devices feature the new A20 Pro processor, the C2 cellular chip, and the N1 network chip, which supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread.

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max

The smartphones will be released in black, gray, and blue, as well as a new burgundy shade, with storage capacities ranging from 256 GB to 2 TB. The main Fusion camera features a 48-megapixel resolution and a variable aperture with four settings—ranging from f/1.48 to f/4.0—which can be manually selected in the Camera app. Video playback battery life is up to 36 hours for the Pro version and up to 45 hours for the Pro Max. The Dynamic Island has also been updated: it can now display up to three Live Activities simultaneously. The devices support the beta version of the updated Siri AI included in iOS 27.

Prices start at 1199 USD for the iPhone 18 Pro and 1299 USD for the iPhone 18 Pro Max. Pre-orders open on September 12, and sales begin on September 18, 2026.

iPhone Duo

Apple has unveiled its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo. The device unfolds like a book: the external screen measures 5.4 inches diagonally, while the internal one measures 7.6 inches—making it 50% larger than the display of the iPhone 18 Pro Max when unfolded. The screen's peak brightness reaches 3000 nits, and the front-facing camera is hidden beneath the internal display. The device features IP68-rated protection, and unlocking is available via Touch ID on the side button or using an Apple Watch.

The iPhone Duo supports only eSIM—a design choice that freed up space for a battery capable of powering up to 31 hours of video playback on the internal screen and up to 44 hours on the external one. Apple promises to add support for the USB-C Apple Pencil by the end of 2026.

The model will go on sale starting October 23, 2026, with pre-orders opening on October 16. Prices start at 1999 USD for the 256 GB version.
