The National Leader of the Turkmen people made a number of proposals in Kronenberg

At a meeting of the International Ahal-Teke Horse Association held in Kronenberg, National Leader of the Turkmen People Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proposed holding the World Equestrian Championships every five years. This proposal received broad support from the meeting participants, TDH reports.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also noted the need to expand Ahal-Teke participation in global equestrian sports. The primary goal should be the participation of Ahal-Teke horses in Olympic competitions. To achieve this, it is necessary to develop training programs for young racehorses in accordance with international standards for inspection and show jumping, as well as to establish prestigious international prizes for representatives of the Ahal-Teke breed.

The development of "green" diplomacy and ecotourism is also of particular importance. Organizing horseback riding tours on Ahal-Teke horses along the historic route of the Great Silk Road could become a new and promising area of international tourism, he stated.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also noted the need to invest in veterinary science and create international research grants to study the unique genome.

Continuing his speech, the National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized the importance of developing systemic areas of cooperation at the level of international associations, proposing to establish coordination of educational and research activities, as well as the exchange of reliable historical materials and information.

It was noted that it would be appropriate to consider the development of plans and programs for the creation of works dedicated to “winged” horses in the media, on television, in documentary format, digital sources, and printed materials. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proposed considering the initiative to create a unified gene bank of Ahal-Teke horses and an International Ahal-Teke Horse Fund.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized the importance of combining efforts and capabilities, confirming Turkmenistan's readiness to continue to provide comprehensive support to this work, providing advisory and methodological assistance, as well as archival and other necessary materials.
