French striker Karim Benzema has terminated his contract with Saudi Arabian club “Al-Hilal” by mutual consent and left the team, soccer.ru reports.
The 38-year-old forward will announce his future career plans in the coming days. He is considering two options: retiring or continuing to play for another Saudi Arabian club. A return to Europe is ruled out.
Benzema has played for “Al-Hilal” since February 2026. He has played 16 matches for the Saudi club, scoring 10 goals. Before joining “Al-Hilal”, he played for Saudi Arabian club “Al-Ittihad”, where he transferred from “Real” in the summer of 2023 after 14 years with the club.
Benzema is the 2022 Ballon d'Or winner and a five-time Champions League winner with “Real”.
