On August 27, the Minsk Sports Palace will host the Fight Nights 140 tournament, where Babaev will face Uzbekistan's Khindolbek Buridzhanov in a lightweight bout. The broadcast begins at 21:00.

Babayev is an international master of sports in combat sambo, a three-time World Cup winner, and a world and Asian champion in pankration. The Turkmen athlete signed a contract with Fight Nights Global in early 2024 and held a training camp in Phuket ahead of his fight in Minsk. Babayev's last fight was on February 20, 2026, at Fight Nights 134 in Sochi, where he lost by unanimous decision to Russian Ramazan Aliev—the first defeat of his professional career. The Turkmen fighter's record includes five wins and one loss. His opponent, Burijonov, holds the titles of Master of Sport in MMA, kickboxing, and boxing, and competes in the lightweight and welterweight divisions. His last fight was on July 9, 2026, at the ACA Young Eagles 66 tournament, where he lost to Khalid Shaykhaev via technical knockout in the first round.

On August 29, the Ural FC tournament will take place in Perm, where Penjiyev will face Kirill Kokhnyuk. This will be Penjiyev's eighth professional fight. Last year, he made his Ural FC debut, winning via choke. His opponent, Kokhnyuk, is one of the league's most decorated fighters by number of fights: he has fought four times in the Ural FC cage, suffering his only loss in his debut, and is currently on a three-fight winning streak.
