Xinjiang and Turkmenistan will develop partnerships in agriculture, science, and education

"We see enormous potential for deepening interregional cooperation between the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and Turkmenistan, primarily in priority sectors such as agriculture, science, and education." This was stated by Xu Guixiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China, on the pages of the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.

These areas are capable of becoming a solid foundation for a long-term strategic partnership, the official believes.

"Today, Xinjiang serves as a key transport, logistics, and economic hub, playing a vital role in the implementation of the large-scale One Belt, One Road initiative." “With its resource potential and high degree of openness, our region is fully prepared for dynamic and comprehensive cooperation,” he said.

As a reminder, a delegation from China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR), led by Erkin Tuniyaz, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Communist Party of China in the region and Chairman of the People's Government of the XUAR, visited Turkmenistan. The Chinese guests' program included talks on expanding trade and economic cooperation and implementing joint projects in agriculture, science, education, and technology.

We previously reported that China provides Turkmenistan with an annual quota of 100 state student scholarships.
