Leading German physicians, Professors Fritz Spelsberg and Susanne Spelsberg, toured the International Scientific and Clinical Oncology Center under construction in Ashgabat and praised its state-of-the-art equipment, TDH reported.

Specialists from the Ludwig Maximilian University Hospital Complex and a private medical research center in Germany learned about the characteristics and capabilities of cancer prevention and treatment equipment. They noted the high quality of the equipment installed in the departments and the modern radioactive waste decontamination system.

According to German experts, many of the devices are being introduced in Turkmenistan for the first time. The center's equipment fully complies with modern requirements.

During a conversation with guests, National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the country's fruitful cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency in the field of healthcare, including oncology.
