Turkmen freestyle wrestler Alp Arslan Begenjov lost in the semifinals of the World U20 Championships, which is taking place in the capital of Slovakia, and will now compete for a bronze medal.

In the 86 kg weight class, the Turkmen athlete faced Russia's Ahmad Mukutov in the semifinals and lost 4-8. In the other semifinal, US representative Aeoden James Sinclair defeated Japan's Natsuru Okazawa 7-6.

Thus, Sinclair and Mukutov will face off in the final. Two bouts will be held for the bronze medal: Begenjov will face Turkish wrestler Sefa Cesur, and Okazawa will face Kazakhstani athlete Askhab Hajiyev.

Another representative of Turkmenistan, Dovletgeldy Muradov, also competed in the 92 kg weight class, starting the tournament today. He successfully advanced through the round of 16, defeating Turkish wrestler Eyup Cetin 10-0.

As previously reported, all matches of the Junior World Freestyle Wrestling Championships in Bratislava will be broadcast live on the Belet platform.
