Turkmenistan presented its transit and logistics capabilities to its ECO partners

An international videoconference of the heads of chambers of commerce and industry of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member countries took place on August 12, the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan reported.

During the online meeting, participants discussed prospects for economic cooperation between the organization's member states, trade integration issues, and strengthening interregional ties.

The Turkmen side presented its ECO partners with the country's transit and logistics capabilities to ensure interregional connectivity, and outlined approaches to increasing trade turnover and expanding export potential.

During the meeting, special attention was given to organizing regular joint exhibitions and business forums with the participation of entrepreneurs from ECO countries. This measure, according to the Turkmen side, should contribute to the growth of the region's investment attractiveness. Turkmenistan confirmed its readiness to further develop economic cooperation with the organization's member states on a sustainable and long-term basis.

The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) unites ten states: Turkmenistan, Iran, Türkiye, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
