A delegation from the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan took part in a consultative meeting on the digital corridor of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program, held on July 29-30 in Islamabad.
Delegations from nine CAREC member countries participated in the meeting, including high-level representatives of government agencies, telecom operators, regulatory agencies, international organizations, development partners, and technical experts, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported.
In their speech, representatives of Turkmenistan reaffirmed the country's commitment to further developing regional economic cooperation, promoting digital transformation, and implementing joint initiatives aimed at increasing the interconnectedness of states in the region.
Forum participants were also briefed on the large-scale work being carried out in Turkmenistan to modernize telecommunications infrastructure, develop digital government services, and implement modern digital solutions, including in the healthcare system.
