A delegation from Tatarstan toured the equestrian complex in Ashgabat

Vasil Shaikhraziev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars, visited the International Equestrian Complex in Ashgabat as part of the Tatarstan delegation's working visit to Turkmenistan. This was reported on the official website of the World Congress of Tatars.

The delegation was shown the infrastructure of one of the country's largest equestrian facilities, where international competitions are held, athletes are trained, and national horse breeding traditions are preserved. A special place in the complex is reserved for the Ahal-Teke horse, the national symbol of Turkmenistan.

The guests toured the modern riding arenas, stables, and training grounds, and learned about the horse care conditions. The delegation was particularly interested in the Ahal-Teke horses, renowned for their beauty, endurance, and unique breed characteristics. The complex's staff explained the history of Turkmen horse breeding, the rider training system, and the work to preserve the breed's purity.

Shaikhraziev noted that respect for historical traditions and cultural heritage is an important part of Turkmenistan's state policy, and that horse breeding traditions, passed down from generation to generation, serve as an example of preserving national identity.

The visit to the equestrian complex was part of the Tatarstan delegation's cultural program and is expected to strengthen humanitarian ties between Tatarstan and Turkmenistan, the statement noted.
