Entrance exams to universities have begun in Turkmenistan

Today, July 29, entrance examinations began at all higher education institutions in Turkmenistan. The key stage of the admissions campaign—examinations for admission to the country's universities—will last until August 20, according to the newspaper "Türkmenistan."

On July 10, at an extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of admitting talented and deserving young people to universities, ensuring the organized and fair conduct of entrance examinations, and establishing public oversight of this process.

In accordance with the instructions of the head of state, all measures are currently being taken to ensure the smooth conduct of the admissions campaign. From July 13 to 26, applications were accepted from applicants to higher education institutions.

This year, more than 18 thousand young people will be enrolled in universities, 1239 more places than last year. Starting with the new academic year, universities across the country will introduce 20 new specializations and training programs to meet the needs of the national economy. Of these, 10 are specialist programs, four are undergraduate programs, and six are master's programs.

It is also noted that most secondary vocational educational institutions in the country continue to accept documents from applicants until August 17.
