Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The two sides discussed prospects for further cooperation, the Foreign Ministry reported.

During the meeting, the parties noted that Turkmenistan's cooperation with the EBRD continues to grow. They emphasized the bank's support for the country's economic diversification, including the development of green energy, regional connectivity, and the introduction of environmentally friendly technologies. Support for small and medium-sized businesses in Turkmenistan is a priority area of cooperation.

The parties discussed promising projects for the development of transport and logistics infrastructure and the promotion of regional transport corridors, in particular the Trans-Caspian Route.

Meredov emphasized that Turkmenistan places particular importance on the consistent implementation of economic reforms, as well as attracting advanced international experience and investment. He expressed gratitude to the EBRD for its assistance in implementing priority national and regional programs.

In turn, Reno-Basso highly praised the dynamics of Turkmenistan's socio-economic development and confirmed the bank's readiness to deepen dialogue and participate in new institutional and infrastructure projects.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their commitment to continuing active cooperation and identifying specific steps to implement their plans.
