The “Türkmenhowaýollary” has updated its access procedures for VIP lounges

The Turkmen State Service "Türkmenhowaýollary" has amended and supplemented the procedure for accessing VIP and VAT lounges. The corresponding order was registered by the Ministry of Justice of Turkmenistan on July 21, 2026.

The amendments are being made to a procedure approved in 2022 by an order of the Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. In the new version, all references to the former Agency "Türkmenhowaýollary" have been replaced with the State Service "Türkmenhowaýollary" due to the change in its organizational and legal status.

The list of persons authorized to use the VIP lounge has been clarified. The relevant regulation now specifically mentions the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, and the list has been supplemented with a clause mentioning the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis. References to Milli Genesh have been removed from the accompanying appendix.

The Arkadag city administration has been added to the list of individuals with equal status to leaders of velayats. A corresponding clarification has been made in both the section on especially important individuals and the section on important passengers.

The job titles of the heads and deputy heads of transport departments included in the lists of persons using the halls have also been updated: the Minister of Highways, the Minister of Railway Transport, the Minister of Automobile Transport, the Minister of Communications, as well as the Chairman of the State Service of Maritime and River Transport of Turkmenistan.

The order was issued in accordance with Article 30 of the Law of Turkmenistan "On Regulatory Legal Acts" and signed by Dovletgeldy Saburov, Chairman of the State Service "Türkmenhowaýollary." The relevant Deputy Chairman of the Service is responsible for overseeing its implementation.
