During a working meeting held digitally with Agriculture Minister Ch.Chetiyev and hakims of velayats, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered strict oversight of cotton crop care and pest prevention across the country, as well as preparations for sowing wheat and other crops, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported.

The meeting addressed issues related to the country's agricultural sector and work being carried out in the regions. Minister of Agriculture Chetiyev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

According to him, in preparation for laying the foundation for next year's wheat harvest, plowing and leveling of land cleared after the grain harvest is currently underway, as well as the selection of high-quality seeds.

Inter-row cultivation, mineral fertilization, vegetation irrigation, and pest control are being carried out in cotton fields across the provinces. At the same time, land is being prepared for planting potatoes, vegetables, melons, and other food crops for the fall season.

After hearing the report, the head of state instructed the relevant agencies to maintain close monitoring of crop conditions and to carry out all necessary agricultural measures in a timely manner.
