“Manchester” City extended Khusanov's contract until 2031

“Manchester City” announced a contract extension with Uzbekistan national team defender Abdukodir Khusanov. The new agreement runs until the summer of 2031, daryo.uz reports.

The 22-year-old footballer joined the English club from French club “Lens” in January 2025. His initial contract ran until 2029, but following his successful performances, the club's management decided to sign him to a new long-term agreement.

After signing the contract, Khusanov expressed satisfaction with continuing his career with “Manchester City”.

"This is a very proud moment for me and my family. It's a great honor to extend my contract with one of the biggest clubs in the world. From day one, the coaching staff, teammates, and fans have shown me tremendous support. I will continue to do everything I can to help the team succeed," the player said.

The club's sporting director, Hugo Viana, praised the potential of the Uzbek defender.

"Abdukodir is a very talented defender. He's adapted to our team in a short time and demonstrated great potential. We're confident he'll make a significant contribution to the club's success in the coming years," Viana noted.
