rman Football Association (DFB) announced at a press conference the appointment of Jurgen Klopp as head coach of the German national team.

The agreement with the 59-year-old specialist runs until 2030. Klopp will prepare the team for the 2028 European Championship and the 2030 World Cup.

The German national team lost to Paraguay (1-1, 3-4 on penalties) in the Round of 32 of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which took place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19, and was eliminated from the tournament. The DFB later terminated the contract of then-Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann.

Klopp managed Liverpool from 2015 to 2024. Under his leadership, the club won the English Premier League title, the English Cup, the Super Cup, two English League Cups, and also won the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup. He previously coached German clubs Borussia Dortmund and Mainz.
