The official anthem of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, "Dai Dai," performed by Colombian singer Shakira, set a record by simultaneously topping several major global charts, including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube, according to The Sun newspaper.

Shakira made history with her official World Cup song, Dai Dai, which became the first track to top Spotify's new global music video chart... It also reached number one on Apple Music's global song chart and became the most-watched music video of the year on YouTube," the publication said.

The newspaper notes that the music video has garnered nearly half a billion views on YouTube, becoming the most-viewed video of the year. The track also reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and topped the Billboard Latin Airplay chart.

Shakira unveiled the official theme song for this year's World Cup on May 7. The composition was co-written with Nigerian musician Burna Boy, winner of the 2021 Grammy Award for Best World Music Album.

The World Cup final took place on July 19. Spain defeated Argentina 1-0. Musician Mick Jagger, actors Anya Taylor-Joy, Matt Damon, and Adrien Brody attended the match. US President Donald Trump also attended the game, flying around the stadium in a helicopter before the match.
