Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with the US Chargé d'Affaires in Turkmenistan, Christine Hawkins.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation, including the development of political and diplomatic dialogue, and interaction in the trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres. The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry's press service reported.

The parties confirmed their interest in further strengthening constructive Turkmen-American cooperation, the statement noted.
