China and Russia have synchronized their visa-free regime until the end of 2027

China has extended its visa-free travel for Russian citizens until December 31, 2027. This was announced in an updated memo on the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.

According to the document, Russians with regular international passports will be able to enter the country visa-free until the specified date. Previously, this regime was in effect until September 14, 2026.

You can stay in China visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism, business, visiting, exchange, or transit purposes. A visa is still required for work, study, and journalistic activities.

The decision was a reciprocal move: the day before, Russia also extended visa-free travel for Chinese citizens until the end of 2027. China had previously made a similar decision in May.

Therefore, the visa-free travel between the two countries is now reciprocal and is set to last until the end of 2027.
