Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held telephone conversations, during which they discussed a number of issues on the Turkmen-Russian agenda, reports the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The parties paid special attention to further strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the humanitarian sphere, emphasizing the importance of intensifying work to promote joint educational and cultural projects.

The heads of foreign affairs departments also discussed upcoming contacts, including multilateral events at the highest and highest levels in Turkmenistan scheduled for October 2026.
