Turkmen schoolchildren won 1 silver and 3 bronze medals as a result of participation in the 58th International Chemistry Olympiad, held in Tashkent from July 10 to 19.

363 schoolchildren from 92 countries took part in the international competition, according to the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

Turkmenistan was represented at the Olympiad by a team from the Saparmurat Turkmenbashy specialized general education boarding school in Ashgabat.

As a result of the competition, the silver medal was won by 11th grade student Ilmamedov Palvan, and bronze medals were won by 12th grade students Dovletov Diyar, Orunova Aylar and Jumayev Rustem.
