A new commercial flow of sulfur-free gas has been obtained from production well No. 04 at a gas field in Mary velayat, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

Natural gas is extracted from underground reservoirs at depths of 2858–2860 meters. The extracted product is characterized by excellent environmental qualities, consisting of commercially valuable, pure methane gas free of sulfur and hydrogen. The well's flow rate exceeds 700 thousand cubic meters per day.

As is well known, the modernization of wells at the "Galkynyş" gas field and its comprehensive development play a vital role in boosting the export potential of the fuel and energy sector, while also attracting the attention of leading international manufacturers. The successful tapping of a new gas flow demonstrates that the large-scale operations being carried out in this area are yielding results.
