The President of Turkmenistan and the Prime Minister of Georgia held talks in Tbilisi

Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held talks with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze in Tbilisi, during which the two sides discussed key areas of bilateral cooperation and signed a package of joint documents, the Turkmenistan newspaper reported.

The meeting took place in the Georgian government building, initially one-on-one, and then in an expanded format with the participation of official delegations from both countries. The parties discussed cooperation issues, taking into account the current situation and prospects for developing relations.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need to continue regular political and diplomatic dialogue, including within the framework of international organizations, and praised the results of Kobakhidze's previous visits to Turkmenistan.

Transport and logistics were a key focus of the talks. The Turkmen side expressed its readiness to facilitate Georgian partners' access to markets in Central Asia, the Asia-Pacific region, and South Asia, as well as to cooperate in strengthening the "Caspian Sea–Black Sea" link and activating the "Lazurit" and TRACECA transport corridors.

In addition, the parties noted prospects for developing relations in the areas of energy, communications, tourism, agriculture, textile industry, and construction.

Following the talks, a signing ceremony for bilateral documents took place. The President of Turkmenistan and the Prime Minister of Georgia also addressed the media following the summit meeting.
