Today, a meeting of Turkmen-Korean interparliamentary friendship groups was held in the Mejlis of Turkmenistan to exchange views on improving the work of bilaterally established groups and establishing relations between relevant committees.

During the meeting, issues of political, diplomatic, legislative, and interregional cooperation were discussed, and the positive results of the work of the Turkmen-Korean Business Council and the intergovernmental group on trade, economic, scientific, and technological cooperation were noted, according to the Mejlis website.

The parties noted the importance of cooperation in such areas as trade and economics, cultural and humanitarian affairs, fuel and energy, logistics, digitalization, transport and shipbuilding, and the study of the Korean language.

It was noted that Turkmen youth are furthering their education at higher education institutions in the Republic of Korea. Students at comprehensive high schools and the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages are taught Korean.
