Several additional secondary vocational specialties will be introduced in Turkmenistan for the new academic year, the "Türkmenistan" newspaper reports, citing a published interview.
As reported, a specialization in "Repair and Maintenance of Industrial Equipment" (in the industrial sector) will be introduced at the Bayramaly Agro-Industrial Secondary Specialized Educational Institution of the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University. A new specialization—"Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis"—will also be introduced at the Polytechnic Secondary Specialized Educational Institution of the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan.
It was previously reported that, at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, admission plans for Turkmenistan’s higher education institutions for 2026—broken down by velayats, the city of Ashgabat, and the city of Arkadag—were approved, as was the admission plan for the country’s secondary specialized educational institutions for 2026.
It was also determined at the government meeting that the admissions campaign for higher and specialized secondary educational institutions in Turkmenistan will take place from July 13 to August 24, 2026. Entrance examinations will be held directly at the locations of the respective educational institutions.
