During the first half of 2026, the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan conducted 146 trading sessions, registering 15 377 contracts. Deputy Prime Minister N. Atagulyyev reported this at an expanded meeting of the Government of Turkmenistan.
During the same period, the growth rate of work performed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry stood at 118,5 percent, with 13 exhibitions and 5 conferences held.
For the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the production growth rate for agricultural and food products reached 109 percent, while that for industrial goods stood at 110,3 percent.
After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of productive efforts to fully harness the production potential of the trade sector. As noted, constant attention must be paid to improving the supply of food and other in-demand products to the domestic market and retail outlets, as well as ensuring high-quality service for the population. The Deputy Prime Minister was given specific instructions regarding the further improvement of the operations of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the implementation of advanced technologies from developed nations to boost the country's export potential.
