Over 1,4 million tons of wheat have been harvested in Turkmenistan

Farmers in Turkmenistan have harvested and delivered over 1,4 million tons of wheat to the state, successfully fulfilling their contractual obligations.

Agriculture is one of the most important sectors of the national economy. In addition to ensuring an abundance of food, this sector contributes to boosting the country's export potential, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

Efforts aimed at the comprehensive, science-based development of the sector are yielding impressive new results. The Research Institute of Grain Growing under the Ministry of Agriculture has developed new wheat varieties—"Serdar," "Arkadag," and "Pyragy"—which have contributed to increased wheat yields.

During the grain harvest season, special attention was paid to the high-quality execution of agrotechnical measures at all stages of wheat production—from seed selection to harvesting.

Thanks to the support of the President of Turkmenistan for the development of the agro-industrial complex, modern grain harvesters from renowned companies such as "John Deere" and "CLAAS" were effectively utilized during the harvest season. This high-performance machinery helped gather a bountiful harvest quickly and without loss, the source notes.
