Toyota has unveiled a special edition of the Corolla Cross crossover to mark the 60th anniversary of the launch of the first-generation Corolla. According to the Drom.ru website, the new limited-edition model differs from the standard version only in terms of its exterior design and does not involve any changes to the car’s technical specifications.

The Corolla Cross 60th Anniversary features a distinctive radiator grille with large honeycomb mesh and a black emblem, silver trim strips at the bottom of the bumpers that mimic underbody protection, and 17-inch alloy wheels finished in matt black.The interior features light grey inserts in the seat upholstery. Special badges bearing the name of the anniversary edition are fitted to the front wings of the car.

On the Japanese domestic market, the Toyota Corolla Cross 60th Anniversary is priced from 3 663 000 yen.

Alongside the launch of the anniversary edition, Toyota has updated the standard specification across the entire Corolla Cross range. The list of standard features now includes a 360-degree camera system with a "transparent bonnet" function, blind-spot monitoring – including when reversing – and a heated steering wheel rim.

As a reminder, in the Japanese specification, the Corolla Cross is fitted with a hybrid powertrain comprising a 1.8 2ZR-FXE petrol engine producing 98 l.s., a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and an electric motor producing 72 l.s. The system’s total output is 122 l.s. The car is available with front-wheel or all-wheel drive.
