During a telephone conversation, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, invited the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to visit Turkmenistan at any time convenient for him. The State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports this.
As reported, Erdogan warmly congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his birthday, wishing him good health and great success in his state activities, and noted his personal contribution to strengthening Turkish-Turkmen relations. In turn, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked the Turkish leader for his efforts to develop the partnership between the two countries.
According to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, reciprocal visits, meetings, and high-level negotiations between heads of state play a significant role in expanding political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation. In this regard, he reminded President Erdoğan’s visit to Turkmenistan last December to attend the celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of the country’s permanent neutrality and expressed his appreciation for the visit.
"We are ready to continue our high-level political relations," noted Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The parties also discussed trade and economic cooperation, noting the role of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation—the ninth meeting of which was recently held in Ashgabat—as well as projects implemented in Turkmenistan with the participation of Turkish companies in the textile, energy, and gas-chemical sectors.
In conclusion, the interlocutors wished each other good health and success in their official duties, and wished the peoples of both countries peace, well-being, and prosperity.
