The South Korean automaker has unveiled the new generation of the Hyundai Avante sedan. Sales of the model in the domestic market will begin before the end of 2026, after which the vehicle will also be available in other countries.
At launch, the sedan will be offered with two powertrains: a naturally aspirated 2,0-liter gasoline engine producing 147 hp and a self-charging hybrid based on a 1,6-liter engine, with a combined system output of 155 hp.

The hybrid version is equipped with the Smart Regenerative Braking 3.0 system, which factors in the driving route to enhance efficiency. Additionally, it features "Stay Mode," allowing the use of the climate control and multimedia systems while parked without starting the gasoline engine.

In terms of safety, the vehicle is equipped with 10 airbags and an expanded suite of electronic assistance systems. This includes a new-generation adaptive cruise control system, remote parking, a reversing assistant, and automatic braking to prevent unintended acceleration.
The company is also exploring the possibility of bringing the model back to the European market—under the name Elantra—after a long absence.
