The "smart" city of Arkadag in Turkmenistan has turned three years old. To mark the occasion, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov extended his congratulations to his compatriots and the residents of the new city.

"The celebration of the third anniversary of the city of Arkadag—a model of modern architecture—is a significant event in the political, social, and cultural life of our country. I sincerely congratulate you on this joyous occasion!" the message states.

The city of Arkadag, renowned worldwide for its beauty, advanced technologies, and unique national architecture, symbolizes the country's economic prosperity, its high international standing, and the well-being of its people.Over the course of three years, the city of Arkadag has received prestigious international certificates and awards for outstanding performance under its urban development program, its innovation potential, and its environmental standards.

"The construction of the city has brought about significant transformations and major achievements in the lives of our citizens, serving as a clear indicator of a state policy aimed at supporting every individual and every family," the President noted.

The city of Arkadag—the country’s first-ever "smart" city—has also become a renowned center for charitable activities. The celebration marking the fifth anniversary of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assisting Children in Need of Guardianship featured a series of solemn and deeply meaningful events.The fact that the modern mosque currently under construction in the city was recently named "Arkadagyň ruhy metjidi" also testifies to the flourishing of charitable activities here, ensuring the continuity of the people's traditions.

Currently, in accordance with the "Concept for the Development of the City of Arkadag for 2024–2052," the construction of the second phase of the "smart" city is proceeding at an accelerated pace.
