Festive celebrations took place at the foot of the Magtymguly Pyragy monument in Ashgabat

In Ashgabat, within fhe framework of the celebrations marking the Day of Culture and Art Workers and the Day of Poetry of Magtymguly Pyragy, a flower-laying ceremony took place at the monument to the great son of the Turkmen people, located in the "Magtymguly Pyragy" cultural and park complex in the picturesque foothills of the Kopetdag Mountains.Gathered here are members of the People's Council (Halk Maslahaty) of Turkmenistan, deputies of the Mejlis, heads of the country's ministries and sectoral agencies, political parties, and public organizations, as well as university students.

The first flowers were laid on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

Ceremony participants emphasized that cherishing the historical and cultural heritage created by the people, and honoring globally recognized, outstanding figures who have made invaluable contributions to the development of national culture, has become one of the country's noble traditions.

In the evening, the festivities continued with a creative event in the square in front of the Magtymguly Pyragy monument within the Magtymguly Pyragy cultural and park complex, proving to be a memorable occasion.

Figures from the worlds of culture and the arts, members of the creative intelligentsia, university students, and numerous admirers of the outstanding poet and thinker’s literary talent took part in the celebration.

Musical and vocal performances by artists against the backdrop of the picturesque Kopetdag landscapes lent a special atmosphere to the celebration, making the program even more vibrant and colorful.
