The former chairman of the Japanese-Turkmen Parliamentary Friendship League was awarded a medal of Turkmenistan

On June 25, a ceremony was held at the Japanese National Diet building in Tokyo to present the Turkmenistan Jubilee Medal "Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygynyň 30 ýyllygyna" and a commemorative silver coin to Toshiaki Endo, former Chairman of the Japan-Turkmen Parliamentary Friendship League. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The awards were presented on behalf of the Government of Turkmenistan by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan A. Bayramov.

Welcoming speeches were delivered by A. Bayramov, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Eri Arfiya, and the new Chairman of the Japan-Turkmen Parliamentary Friendship League Shinpei Matsushita. In their speeches, they noted the high level of Turkmen-Japanese relations and Toshiaki Endo's significant contribution to the development of interstate and interparliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

Toshiaki Endo delivered a response speech, expressing sincere gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan for its high assessment of his activities and reaffirming his intention to continue to promote the development of friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Japan, the source notes.
