A delegation from Turkmenistan took part in the “Children of the Commonwealth” forum in Tajikistan

The 11th cultural and educational forum "Children of the Commonwealth," organized by the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, was held in Tajikistan on June 15. Delegations from nine Commonwealth countries participated in the event.

Turkmenistan was represented at the forum by schoolchildren aged 14–17 from Ashgabat and the country's velayats. The delegation was led by Sapargul Toylyeva, Principal of Ashgabat Secondary School No. 47, and Muhammet Inermyradov, Deputy Principal of Ashgabat Secondary School No. 146.

Within the framework of Turkmenistan Day, participants presented a large-scale cultural program: they talked about the country, recited poems in the languages of the participating countries, and gave presentations on history, tourism, economics, and the oil and gas industry. Special attention was given to national culture—holidays, costumes, cuisine, carpet weaving, Ahal-Teke horses, and the Alabay breed. The performance concluded with a performance of the Kushtdepdi dance.

During the forum, Turkmen schoolchildren visited the Parliament of Tajikistan, where they were greeted by the Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon, Fayzali Saidzoda, as well as the Istiklol architectural complex, the Kokhi Navruz Palace, and the National Museum of Tajikistan.

The forum's program included meetings with Olympic champions, master classes from national artists, an introduction to Tajik crafts, an intellectual Olympiad, and an engineering platform dedicated to the scientific heritage of the East.
