Tourists from Turkmenistan now need a QR code to enter Vietnam

Starting June 22, 2026, all foreign citizens traveling to Vietnam are required to complete pre-arrival information (PAIR). This change also applies to tourists from Turkmenistan.

The system was implemented in stages: starting April 15 for arrivals at Ho Chi Minh City Airport, starting June 1 for arrivals at Phu Quoc Airport, starting June 8 for arrivals at Hanoi Airport, and starting June 15 for arrivals at Da Nang Airport. Starting June 22, the requirement was extended to all international airports in the country, and paper forms on board and in the arrivals area were completely eliminated.

You must register on the official portal of the Vietnam Immigration Service (prearrival.immigration.gov.vn) no earlier than 72 hours before crossing the border.

After completing the form, you will receive a QR code, which you must save on your smartphone or print out to present at border control. Travel agencies operating in Turkmenistan can assist with this process.
