Turkmen judoka Pardayeva won bronze at the Grand Slam tournament in Ulaanbaatar

Turkmen judoka Maysa Pardayeva won a bronze medal in the 57 kg weight category at the Grand Slam tournament in Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia).

On her way to the podium, the athlete defeated Kazakhstan's Dana Abdirova (1/32 finals), South Korean judoka Mimi Huh (1/16 finals), and Israeli Timna Nelson Levy (quarterfinals).

In the semi-finals, Pardayeva lost to Japanese Akari Omori, but in the match for third place, she was stronger than Frenchwoman Faiza Mokdar.

For 21-year-old Pardayeva, this medal was her first at a Grand Slam event since 2024, where she also won bronze at the tournament in Antalya, Türkiye. She previously competed at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The tournament in Ulaanbaatar will conclude on June 21.
